I started Clapotis, ubiquitous in the blog world, but nevertheless something I desired. I was thoroughly in love with the yarn and this project until I started the second ball. Can you see the color difference? It’s driving me nuts. I could tell that the ball on the left was a bit darker, even though they’re all the same dye lot. Has anyone else had this experience with Malabrigo? I really don’t want to tear this out, but this may make me crazy.

the same thing happened to me when i was knitting clapotis (not malabringo, not the same dye lot – so i was taking chances). i ended up knitting every other row alternating balls…obviously this is not an option for you. how far in are you? you could do a half/half thing (half the scarf dark and half light) pretending to do it on purpose as a design feature….
