Though I have sock projects that I technically started before this, I am working in order of excitement as far as blog posting goes. These are the sleeves for an Element by Kirsten Johnstone that I started on December 1st. I almost never start with sleeves, but I was too excited to use the Sweet Georgia Yarns Party of Five kit I bought awhile back. The kit is “Snapdragon” and has the colors orchid, birch, melon, pistachio, and lettuce wrap (from bottom to top). sleevesI’m working each color for about three inches, then I’ll be switching to Malachite in Hazel Knits Artisan Sock for the top of the sleeve and rest of the body. I’m only using up about half or less of each mini skein, much less than I expected, so I’ll be able to make a second fun project with these colors. Perhaps they will be incorporated into a kiddo knit for a fun matchy matchy knit…

This might be the most fun I have ever had with sleeves. This sweater might look crazy when I’m finished, but I’m so excited to wear it. This is technically my Grinchalong project. I love The Knitmore Girls podcast and this is a KAL that embraces fun and selfish knitting, rather than scrambling for holiday gift knitting. While I may be knitting one tiny holiday thing, this will be my primary love for the next month. Anyone else being a knitting grinch right now?
