As mentioned previously, I adore my first Aperture shawl. It continues to be my go-to for taking to my office while I avoid shivering under the air conditioning vent. I knew I would probably make another, but didn’t think it would happen so soon. When packing for Denver it seemed like a good project to take along, and I happened to have a Katia Ombré kit in some beautiful greens that would allow me to keep the project small by carrying only one or two 25 gram balls at a time.

I was planning to make the small size again and just continue the final, most open, lace chart until I was close to running out of yarn. Instead, I lost focus and accidentally repeated one of the charts twice, as for the large size. Rather than ripping it out, I’m just going to keep going and I might end up doing a little less of the final chart. It’s a gamble, and I’m fine with taking it. After all, if it’s going to turn out badly I can just rip it out…
