Words can’t describe how much I adore this combination of colors, or the joy I feel when I work on this project. I am at my final color. I changed it from the Cloudborn Merino I had set aside before to Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere in Bermuda Teal because the teal color was too delicious and vibrant not to use. I fell in love with it at my LYS and broke my no buying yarn until Rhinebeck diet. Oh well. It’s a small taste, and every now and then you have to have a cheat day. I might have to cheat again when I see the speckled Koigu that is coming this week…

The pattern is Dotted Rays by Stephen West. You can find the link to his pattern and all of the yarn I used on my Ravelry project page for this WIP. I am making the larger size because I really wanted a huge comfy shawl and I loved this color combination. I think the Bermuda Teal is an even better transition from the Koigu green variegated yarns since it more closely matches the darker blue-green in the Koigu.

While I really wanted my striping transitions to transition only at the beginning of wedge sections, it didn’t always work out that way and I wanted to use as much of each yarn as I could. In the end, I don’t think it will really matter and I think it will be gorgeous no matter what. I can’t wait to see it off of the needles.
