…I mean SOCKTOBER! Yikes! How could I almost forget about my favorite knitting holiday? What is Socktober? Read more about it here.
I’m going to be playing with this:
It’s Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock in mediumweight. The colorway is KMFBLA. I have no idea what that stands for. I’m thinking of making this pattern, but I’m also really inspired by all of these patterns. I just don’t know if I have the brain power for those to finish in a single month. I need to finish these because they’re on a bit of a deadline!
I’ll keep you posted.
I love the color, (I am a sucker for all things purple.) Any of the patterns would be awesome. Can’t wait to see what you decide.
woah! socktober! i always forget! and i don’t have any sock yarn!!! i’m weaving in the ends on chris’ gloves now, i might just have to get myself down to the shop and get sock yarn!
I must confess, I haven’t heard of Socktober until this post, but I’m relatively new to the knitting world, so I forgive myself! I found a youtube video which shows the basic cast on/off, so I’ve been working on a simple baby blanket for a friend of mine who is expecting. I’m wondering, though, since I’m such a newb, if you have a recommendation for online resources on how to start knitting socks? I would love to give it a try!
I’m not a sock knitter, but I just LOVE Cookie A’s patterns. I wish she’d do some toe-up patterns, though. I have a hard time imagining that I could do them from the cuff down.
I hadn’t heard of Socktober before today. Thanks. Love the colour of your yarn.
Sock knitting and I don’t exactly get along, but this yarn looks so luscious, it’s got me thinking of giving it another go…
I’ve been knitting for a while and still haven’t tackled socks…they scare me!
