I’m loving Beatnik so far for the SSKAL. The cables are definitely keeping me on my toes. I have the chart on one side and the definitions for the abbreviations on the other.
I highly recommend the color coded version put together by Knitty editors. It helps to decipher the lookalike cable symbols on the chart. I hope after a couple of repeats they all make more sense and flow from my brain to my hands with less paper flipping, but it’s definitely interesting.
This yarn (Cascade 220 Pyrite Heather) looks so different in slightly different lighting. I love it.
Back to work!
It’s great! I’m happy to hear that they are providing a colour-coded version of this … the last time I wanted to knit something with a lot of cables, I ended up colouring everything myself (and making a bit of a mess, of course …) 😉
You are flying! My arm/swatch is looking good, so I am starting some cables this weekend. I cannot wait!
You’re clearly more talented than me. That’s really cool
Looking great so far. The 220 really shows the cables nicely, and I am seriously loving that color.
It’s looking great! Color coding complicated cable charts is a nice tip. Thanks!
Gorgeous yummy cables! Love that color.
Looks like it requires a lot of attention indeed but it will be absolutely gorgeous!
This looks amazing! I really like this pattern and I can’t wait to see your version!
