I whipped up this little thing last week when I realized Z’s other hats were a bit to small. I held one strand of some leftover Starry in Blue Sage with two strands of green Araucania Ranco. My fingering weight yarn leftovers had the best colors, but I wanted to knit very quickly, thus the three strands. It is sometimes a pain to work with 3 strands, because you have to check and make sure you’re not inadvertently dropping one of the strands here or there.I like that this will coordinate with both her peacoat and her future Latte Baby Coat.
I’m not entirely happy with this result. I wanted slouchy, but it looks muffin like at times. Oh well. She’ll outgrow it soon…
Cute! Love the colors and the muffiny-ness 😛
Slouchy, muffin, do not despair, it is a lovely hat, and looks super on Z. Great colour choice!
Exactly – the muffin shape is great!
I think it’s cute! It’s hard to get slouchy right for tiny heads.
It’s very cute!!
I totally love the muffin-y-ness. It’s very Renaissance baby, and she looks happy to be wearing it, which is the main thing.
Yeah, she seems to like it. Speaking of Renaissance Babies…. have you seen this site? http://uglyrenaissancebabies.tumblr.com/
Oh my goodness. No. That is amazing, and also not what I was comparing little Z to (obviously, since none of those babies had the sense to be wearing hats.)
So adorable.
Cute kid. Love the sweater and hat.
