I’ve been working on a secret project for awhile now. It’s a large garment, so it’s been eating up some of my knitting time. I’m working on a men’s sweater design. Naturally, Matt was putting in orders for fall and winter sweaters and I really wanted to come up with a new design, so it worked out well. I’m nearing the finish and the pattern has been sent to the tech editor, so I feel like I can make some mention of it now. It’s an Aran weight men’s pullover with some cable details. I hope to have the pattern released by mid-late September.
I’m still working out name details. Feel free to make suggestions!
My immediate thought was of a fish spine – beautifully articulated. Maybe call it Articulation!
0oh! Good suggestion!
It looks amazing!!!! Can’t wait for the pattern.
I’m so excited to see the finished sweater! The sneak peeks are so lovely!
I love Andrea’s suggestion of Articulation! This looks fabulous…
Nice, sweater. I’d love to make one like that eventually!
Oooh! Can’t wait to see the sweater! The sneak peek is so beautiful
I love that cable detail, especially in the grey. Lucky Matt getting his fall wardrobe not only custom made, but custom designed too!
The first things the design made me think of was fern fronds and fossils. Maybe something like ‘Glade Sweater’ or ‘Imprint?’ Love the textures. 🙂
It looks amazing!!! Simply wonderful
My interest is peaked!! Looks lovely…. The first thing that came to mind was the work “Haken” , which means “hook” in german…but I also like the above suggestion of Articulation!
It’s beautiful!!! I love Articulation, but here are a couple other ideas: Plaited (as in braided) or Spinalis (Latin for spine). Or Vertebraid, like vertebrae meets braid.
Wow! It’s really handsome! Looking forward to the pattern… 🙂 Absolutely love the cables!
I, too, saw the fish spine in the pattern. I like Articulation as a suggestion. I’m also thinking about Fisherman’s Catch. The sweater is going to be gorgeous!
Or it could be named Lucky Matt :-). I look forward to seeing it finished!
Braided Driftwood. Beautiful!
Oooooh! Nice one!
Cool! Sweater for a Gent?
Gorgeous! I can’t wait to see the final product!
The gray color is beautiful, and in my search of gray animal species, I found a photo of gray seals on the Faroe Islands in Finland. The Islands are small and self-governing, definitely sweater-loving inhabitants, so my submission is “Faroe Island Pullover”
Love that too! Great ideas in these comments!
Looks amazing! You are so talented
