Who’s ready for winter to be over?! I’m starting to feel delighted by the signs of spring. I have been pleasantly distracted from knitting the past couple of weeks by moving to a new (and much more delightful) office for my therapy practice, and last weekend by potting plants for my office and putting some in the garden as well. I’m very much a plant novice. So much so that I was AMAZED when I planted some arugula seeds last Sunday and they are over an inch tall now. Matt keeps laughing at my amazement, but I’m still convinced it’s magic.
I also started some mint and rosemary in pots. The arugula I kept inside and watered with warm water since the instructions said to plant when “the soil is warm.” I thought that would be a nice cheat. The mint was accosted while outside by (I’m guessing) a wayward squirrel, or perhaps the raccoon that comes to eat cat food from the back porch.
Oh, knitting? Yeah. This is a knitting blog. Hey, the sweater shown above is what I’m working on most. I’ve started the sleeves and am into them just a bit now. I have still been taking long breaks from knitting due to work busyness, arm pain (finally getting some relief there), and SPRING. I think as soon as this Pink Memories sweater out of Louet Gems Sportweight in Caribou is finished (or sooner) I need to get going on some lovely spring tops. Any suggestions? I haven’t even looked!
me!
Well done with the knitting and the moving, etc – always so much to do for everyone – but a little knitting grounds us !
I’m going to be casting on for the Riverton Tee soon. I’ve got a gorgeous yarn for it and can’t wait! I just have a couple more things to finish prior to casting on another project. I love plants and seeing what they do. It’s amazing how they grow so fast and it is quite magical. Your sweater is super cute!
I have Spring Garden Tee by Alana Dakos in my favs. I’m so excited for spring too!
Absolutely over winter. Perfect timing since we got 30 cm of snow a week ago, siiigh. I’ve caved and already bought dahlia bulbs though there is no way I’m getting those in soil any time soon. But it’s a nice reminder that spring will come! It has to!
