April has been very weird in Arkansas this year. Last weekend it snowed, though very lightly. That’s pretty unusual for us. The intermittent icy blasts of cold prompted me to finally finish this Pink Memories sweater that I started mid-January.
The yarn is Louet Gems Sportweight in Caribou. At this point I have no memory of how much of it I used, but I stuck to the pattern pretty closely. I needed another pullover sweater that could go with lots of different things and serve as a basic. This totally fits that qualification.
I love the fit. The sweater has an ever so slight A-line. It’s super comfy and perfect to throw on for chilly days.
Please excuse the phone pics here. I was in a rush and needed to get some pictures before I had worn this sweater too much. I believe these were taken on my third day of wearing it after finishing. I was pretty enthusiastic about it.
The only thing I would definitely change about this is my complete goof up with the garter stitch. I don’t know how I missed this, but I made a mistake in starting it later on in the raglan increases. I can’t believe I didn’t catch it or wonder about it sooner, but really, it’s not worth ripping out an entire sweater for. No way. See below:
Sometimes we just have to live with our mistakes and move on. If I make this again, I’ll make sure to focus a bit more!
This is amazing!
Love your sweater, especially the quirky design feature, it makes it a one of a kind.
No-one will even see it; but if s/he does, it’ll be thought to be the pattern ! And I couldn’t agree more with your shrug about it: who cares ?! 😀
It’s a lovely sweater and honestly I wouldn’t notice the bit your pointing out 🙂
Honestly, it looks like a design feature, no worries! Love a good raglan sweater!
You did a fantastic job!
