I finished this Kinton top at then end of May and I have been sloooow about posting the finished pictures. Taking finished pictures of garments can be a challenge sometimes. Today I whipped out my tripod, went into my trusty photography studio (aka the bathroom with white walls and good light) and went to work. The yarn is Manos Alegria in Celedon.
I enjoy this top, but I wish I’d made it a bit smaller. It is supposed to have 2-4 inches of positive ease, and it does, but I think I’d like it with a bit less. If I made it again I’d make the 38″ instead of the 42″. I think the 38″ would have been perfect. I also think I would have done something a little different with the sleeves. Maybe I’d like them better if they were slightly shorter. I did skip the edging on the sleeves because I figured they would curl and it wouldn’t show anyway. It’s not worth ripping and remaking anything though. I know I’ll wear it, and if I don’t then I’ll pass it on.
It was fun to knit and I love the lace on the back. It’s gotten a bit too hot here to wear this out and about since it’s wool, but I know it’s going to be a great transition piece in fall and spring. I’m back to cotton, silk, and linen for the rest of the summer pieces!
so cute, and i love the color!
Beautifully knit and lovely color.
It’s a great and soft color. The lace panel in back is pretty.
This is a beautiful top! I know what you mean about being slow to take pictures… I struggle with that!
