I’ve been dreaming up a project that could be explosively pink for Zooey. I had some Madeline Tosh Twist Light in some gorgeous colors hanging out in my stash, so here we go. From top to bottom they’re Voodoo, Beach Bonfire, and French Toast.
I previously made a So Faded for myself and I’ve been thinking up a version for kiddos. I’m using the schematics for Little Oak as a guide for sizing, but I’m doing this as a raglan cardigan. I cast on 106 stitches and did 2×2 ribbing for about an inch. Then I divided up sections for the fronts, sleeves, and back and I’ll be increasing every other row with mirrored increases until I hit the measurements I want. Pretty simple.
For the colors, I’m going to fade them with each other like the So Faded sweater linked above, except I plan on making the faded sections a little wider for this sweater since I think that’s a really cool part. Then I’ll pick up for button bands and have a new sweater for Z! I think I might also do a few increases on the body for a slightly a-line shape.
I think she’s going to love it.
Looks like fun!
Cute and fun, speckled yarns.
