What I’m posting here mostly today is in-action shots of some recently finished knits. While I was in San Francisco for part of last week, it occurred to me that the yarn for my recently finished Sempervivum shawl and So Faded were purchased while in SF last year. It just seemed right to post some photos of them being used while in SF one year later. We hiked all around the city and these made wonderful layering pieces to add or shed as needed.
This So Faded sweater has Mad Tosh Twist Light (top to bottom) in Voodoo, French Toast, Beach Bonfire, and a different dyelot of Voodoo. What is not pictured is the long unwoven strand I left by the neck bind off. The bind off is a little tight, so I think I’m going to undo it and be more mindfully loose for a second try. I can get my head through it and I just wanted to wear it that day.
This shawl really needs better pictures to show off its majesty. The two pictures below were previously taken in my photo studio (ahem, bathroom). The shawl is Sempervivum and is done in Anzula Squishy in Iris. It’s one of the softest and most lovely yarn I’ve ever used for a shawl. I highly recommend it.
There you have some knits in action.
