This is my third Tegna for the year, and probably my last (unless Charlotte expresses interest). This one is in an eye-searingly bright yellow-orange by Wollemeise. The yarn is Pure Wool Superwash in the color Kuken. It is bold.
I am not sure this color will be flattering on me, but I really don’t care. This one I will be making with some sort of sleeve, up to a three-quarter sleeve or bracelet length if I have enough yarn. I have two full skeins and each is about 574 yards apiece, so this is fairly possible. This is my first time using Wollemeise and it’s fantastic. There are many tiny plies and the yarn is very round and smooth. I decided to go up a needle size and use the 38″ size numbers for this one.
This might be the perfect pop of color to beat back the dull of grey winter days. I definitely have some mild depression happening when we get cold grey days one after the other, so I’m hoping this serves as a colorful balm.
Really, I am knitting other things, but these Tegnas are super addictive. First they get you with the lace chart to pique your interest. Then they’re ages of soothing, meditative stockinette in the round. Pure knitting medicine.
That is absolutely gorgeous! All of them have been 🙂
Thanks so much!
This is inspiring. I have enjoyed your blog so very much and feel it’s high time i expressed that. A tegnas is looming in my future.
It is a beautiful happy colour. Looking forward to seeing the completed item.
I have never knit with Wollmeise so far, but have heard only good things – the generous yardage included. This is really beautiful! It should definitely be able to ward off winter depression (do you have a daylight lamp you could use? I have the same problem, and it works wonders).
