I finished these New Pants in Town a couple of weeks ago, and we’ve had some weather that supports wearing them until the last few days. AThese pics were taken very quickly on a cold, cold day, so I do not have picture from every feasible angle for this knit because I was too cold to continue standing outside to get one! Oh well. You get the general idea. They’re pants.
These are made with Juniper Moon Herriot Fine in Aquarium. The yarn is 75 percent alpaca and 25 percent polyamide. I’m hoping the polyamide is a stabilizer that keeps these from stretching out like crazy, but only time will tell. I made them a bit more snug than that pattern specifies for that reason, and they’ve already grown a bit in length since I finished them.
They are definitely super cozy and I have a feeling I will get a lot of wear out of them in the coming years. They’re the perfect lounge pant. If you are feeling that knitted pants are what’s missing in your knitted wardrobe, look no further. The pattern is easy to follow, has pockets, and will keep you busy for ages using up a fingering weight or sport weight yarn.
Those are wonderful! Thanks for the reminder–I have that pattern in my favorites, too! I love the color of yours 🙂
Wow. They look great on you, and the fit is very good!! (I have to admit that I was super sceptical of knit pants, because I already had issues with woolen tights as a kid and so the thought of woolen trousers were … well. 😉 ). Are you gonna make another one, or will you wear this pair and see how they hold up?
They look fantastic on you. Nicely do e!
*Nicely done
They look lovely and super comfy ! And I think it is quite brave to knit pants ! I’ve seen some nice patterns, also from skirts, but don’t dare to knit them for fear of way too much pilling and stretching, so I am curious to learn how these will hold up.
Wow, love them! They look amazing and the fit is perfect.
