Ta-da! Here’s the Striped Wedge Pullover that I finished ages ago. I finished it a few weeks ago but neglected to block it (and it really needed it) until a few days ago. Unblocked, the wedge portion sticks up much higher than the rest of the front. I was a little worried about it, but it did block out nicely. I have a feeling that it might need to be pinned to dry when I wash it again.

The pattern is fun and easy to execute. I loved the relaxing garter stitch and boxy shape. I think this would be cute cropped a little bit as well. I might make another one that’s a little more cropped and maybe less wide to layer over dresses.

I used the recommended yarn, Purl Soho Linen Quill fingering weight yarn. It’s a wool linen blend. It’s not super soft, but feels pretty good. It’s insanely hot here today, so I put it on only for the photos and wore an Ogden Cami otherwise. These pictures are a little more grainy and slightly out of focus than I’d like, but I’m tripodding it alone and this is what I’ve got for today. I had to do a ubiquitous touching the hair pose at least once.

The pants are Bob Pants by Style Arc. This is a pattern I probably wouldn’t have looked at twice had I just chosen it based on the drawing of the pants for the pattern. Yet, I stumbled across it on Instagram and was instantly enabled. The fabric is some Watercolor Linen from Purl Soho in Smoked Rose. I think I originally purchased four yards of this and I was able to make a Wiksten Shift Dress (the long version) and Bob Pants.

This is actually my second pair of Bob Pants. I made some last weekend out of some navy silk noil and they’re lovely, buuuuut, that fabric was just a little too heavy for me to wear out in the heat today, even for the short walk to my office. This linen is lightweight and totally tolerable for summer wear in a professional setting. And, real talk, these feel like pajamas. When this pandemic is over I’m going to have a whole new wardrobe of super comfy clothes. These have nice cocoon shape that is really pleasant to wear.

Sewing and knitting and socially distant friend outdoor hangs are keeping me sane right now. How are you coping with the pandemic these days?
