I finished a Rift in Louet Gems Fingering in Mint. I made the tee version with the v-neck option for the front neck and a boatneck for the back neck. The yarn I used was lighter weight than the pattern called for, so I went up a few sizes to get the width I wanted.

This sweater is great because it offers many ways to customize it, and comes in a good range of chest sizes (finished measurements up to 72 inches). You can knit this with a v-neck or boatneck, long or short sleeves, alter the bust for larger busts, and customize the bicep. The pattern includes formulas for customizing all of these, which is great.

I kept this as short as the recommended cropped length from the underarm down, however, when I went up in size to get stitch gauge I didn’t factor in the row gauge. I definitely should have made this probably an inch or so longer on the armhole length. The pattern specifies a number of rows for the armhole rather than the number of inches. As is, this sweater is more of a shoulder topper for dresses or tanks, adding some bright flavor to my wardrobe. I’d like to make one in a longer length.

I wore this over a Metamorphic Dress that I finished recently. This dress is made with linen on both sides. It’s a reversible dress that has pockets for both sides, so obviously it’s a perfect dress. The fabric is some linen from Blackbird Fabrics, one of my new favorite places to buy fabric. This is my second version of the dress, and one of these days I’ll get a picture of the wilder reverse side.
