Sewing operates at a faster timescale for me, so I decided to throw a bunch of things in one post. I’ve become enchanted with the Inari Tee and dress lately. I like the little details and since I’ve been mostly living in a few variations of high-waisted Arthur pants (also shown in this post) some cropped tees fit the bill.

DSC_3546This was my first Inari. The fabric is some knit tee fabric I got from Fancy Tiger Crafts awhile back. I messed up in the cutting and had to put a seam down the back to make it work, but in the end I’m pretty pleased with this one. I added a little length to the body, but not much.

DSC_3541This Inari is made with some Cloud 9 knit interlock fabric I got from Fabric.com. It’s really soft inside and is a bit heavier, like a sweatshirt fabric. I thought it might be a nice transition piece for slightly cooler days. I added 2cm more length than in the previous version, and I think I could have added a bit more. DSC_3543This fabric doesn’t have much drape since it’s thicker, so I think that makes quite a bit more difference in the way the length feels while worn compared to the first tee.

DSC_3557Here is an Inari dress, made with some fabric found in the juvenile knit section on Joann’s. It was a complete impulse buy. DSC_3555I like it somewhat, but this fabric feels thin, cheap, and not nearly as soft as the others. It’s a good casual dress though.

DSC_3550I also whipped up a Linden sweatshirt. I had this cut out for a couple of weeks before sewing it. Then it got rainy and cooler out and I wanted something snuggly. DSC_3551This was also an impulse buy from Joanns in the juvenile knits section and this one I LOVE. It’s got the smooth knit side for both sides of the fabric and it’s stretchy and comfy as hell. I think I will live in this around the house when it gets cooler. I forsee making many more Lindens as time goes on.
