I finished League a couple of weeks ago, but it was not quite cold enough to wear it right away. Since then, it has traveled with me to our first family camping trip and it was perfect for the weather. The hat I’m wearing is a Sweetfern I finished last spring.

I had this in my Ravelry favorites for a couple of years before purchasing the pattern. I’m completely satisfied with this knit. The only teeny tiny thing I would change is making my sleeves maybe a half an inch longer to pull up over my wrists slightly.

The yarn is Miss Babs Keira in Quicksilver (main body color), French Marigold (pop of orange), and Juniper (the sleeves). I was delighted to get the sleeves and collar out of one skein of Keira. The skeins have a generous 560 yards per skein, and it’s a fairly heavy fingering weight yarn. This was another project where I had a gauge that was slightly too loose, so I went down a size in the pattern to get the chest size I wanted. It worked out well. This yarn is also superwash, so I was perhaps a little too cautious about the sleeve length because sometimes superwash sweaters grow like crazy when wet blocked. This one did not, and that was nice. The yarn seems like it will be durable and it’s also very soft next to the skin.

I definitely recommend this pattern if you like the sporty look of it. The intarsia is fun and looks really polished around the shoulders. I can see myself making another one someday, or trying to make a mini version for the girls.
