I made a Stasia a few weeks back, but it was far too warm to wear it. This is a pattern by Sew Liberated, and it’s a fairly versatile pattern. It has options to make a tee, a mid length dress, or a maxi dress with either short or three quarter length sleeves. Stretchy knit fabric is recommended for this pattern.

This fabric is from Fabric.com and it’s knit interlock. It feels like a super soft slight sweatshirt kind of fabric. It’s heavenly to wear. I made the mid length with three quarter length sleeves, and I love this version. I’ve already cut out another dress, but for that one I did a slightly less wide neckline and a bit longer skirt.

This piece is one of the pieces put out by Sew Liberated to be part of a capsule wardrobe to mix and match with her other pieces. Meg calls this the Mindful Wardrobe Project and now there is a course on it. Previously, the individual pieces were noted as being part of the capsule wardrobe on each page, but I can no longer find that information. I think you could also just use your best judgement for building a capsule wardrobe.

It definitely looks good under a Metamorphic Dress and I tried to pick colors that would go with the dresses I’ve already made. Meg from Sew Liberated also recommends layering this over the Arenite pants and Arthur pants, but I’m not quite there in my eclectic style. Maybe I’ll get that way this winter, as outdoor hangs seem like the only safe way to see friends during quarantine, and I’ll be aiming to layer as many things as possible.

It’s starting to feel like sweater weather and I have some cold weather knits to post about soon!
